Around 1,200 albums I was able to rescue from my musicological excavation of the year 1972, a list I started timidly a few years ago, with no ambition but to recall that magical year of my life. Around 2019, saturated with living in that strange Brazil that was emerging on the horizon, it caught me in full a kind of retroversity, which is a tendency of the individual to turn to the past and reflect on him to be able to meet again in the present. Then I began, in isolation before the epidemic that would catch us the following year, to write an autobiographical novel called "1972-HAPPY FOR AN ENCORE!". I went back from suitcase and pen to spend a gap year there, where I could revisit my deceased parents, friends and acquaintances, and reliving everything that made me go from a recalcitrant boy to a teenager who gradually moved away from previous amusements to penetrate the universe of art, a universe of which I am still immersed to the present day. On this trip I had the chance to listen to the albums that made up my mind and turned me into a more palatable human being, then decided to make an adhering to the end of the book, called "1972- ANNI MIRABILES", where I listed all of them, together with the films and books that were influential to me during the year. After the book was released, I received from several readers comments about the omissions I made on the list, but there were so many that I decided to look for and discovered so much material, that I found myself in the obligation to write a book only about the albums made available in the year. What was not my surprise when I discovered really amazed some works that I missed to know at the time, and when I realized already had all these 1200 albums, and if in some of them hangs the doubt that they were released in 1972, if they have not been, were present in the air. I decided to last translate it into English, which I beforehand apologize for any mistakes, knowing that my research would cover bands from various countries, but this book became an open work that can have additions over time, and so I left in each album a link to the song most meaningful to me, in ways that I hope everyone who likes music, just like me, be happy for this encore!Leia mais
